The project ‘Patterns and Strobes’, does not follow any logical continuity and a specific narrative. Rather, the arrangement of frames and zooming in and out stroboscopically between different shots creates its pattern and rhythm. Music helped to add more meaning to the animation and amplified the pattern generated by frames. As mentioned by Jodie Mack in her 'Posthaste Perennial Pattern’ animation, she tries to interrogate the boundaries between art and daily life kitsch in her work. I was able to decipher this whole idea of Jodie’s while working on this animation and was thrilled to notice a pattern that I never thought the fabrics lying somewhere around my home could create. Jodie is one of the interviews said that she often considers these works as eulogies to these materials, and finally I can say that I have not done the same justice as Jodie did in her work, but this work could be my eulogy to the materials I used.
